Change independently for PE, with the exception of top button and tie
Write first name and surname correctly

Begin to use DUMTUMS – Write own date and WALT in cursive script
Become increasingly independent and wish to become more involved with school, hobbies, sporting activities and friendships
Have well-developed coordination and be keen to show off physical abilities

Possibly begin to take life more seriously and may begin to worry more
We will cover 3 main units this year:
Year 3 will have PE on a Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday every week. Please make sure all children have all of the correct PE kit with them on these days – indoor and outdoor kits.
In year 3, the children are expected to change their books themselves and this can happen every day (or as needed). Some children will be daily readers with an adults, others will be frequent readers so read with up to three times a week. Reading records should be handed in on a Thursday, but every day if possible so that we are able to read with your child.
Yes, your child will be going on trips.
