A Brief History
Our School Chapel was officially opened and blessed by Bishop Declan in May 2014 and to support the daily running of the Chapel, a St Gregory’s School Chaplaincy Team was established. Now, as well as helping children to enjoy this special place in our school, the role of the Chaplaincy Team has evolved over the past 4 years so that each member aims to become a spiritual role model, offering others guidance and support and assisting in the prayer life of the school in a wide variety of ways. This team has even started to train other children and staff in aspects of chaplaincy and they regularly meet with other Chaplaincy Teams in neighbouring schools to share and build upon their wonderful work.
