  • Y1 - The Lion King - WOW day

    Tue 08 Jan 2019

As you may be aware Year 1’s topic next term is The Lion King where we will begin by learning about different African animals.

For our topic launch we will be having a WOW day where we will be doing various crafts and activities around the story. The children will be taking the role of explorers and imagining what it might be like on a safari.

To further immerse the children and get them excited about the topic we would love for the children to dress up as an animal or an explorer for our WOW day which will be the first day back after Christmas (Tuesday 8th January)

Anything you have at home is perfect, you might have some combat trousers, boots or even an animal onesie. You could even choose to give your child a project over the holidays to make their costume.

  • Year 2 - Antarctic Explorers Wow Day

    Tue 08 Jan 2019

Children are invited to come to school in their own clothes and could come dressed in any explorer themed clothing that they might have or bring in accessories such as hats, binoculars and maps to get in the theme of the day.

Children need to come with 3 toilet rolls (without the paper on them) so that they are able to create their own explorer survival kits. Throughout the day we will also be making explorer dens and sampling some basic rations that historic explorers will have lived off whilst on an expedition.

As always, if you have any questions then please speak with your class teacher.

Thank you for your ongoing support, The Year 2 Team.
