Chaplaincy Quote

In May 2014 our school chapel was officially opened and blessed by Bishop Declan. To support the daily running of the Chapel, the St Gregory’s School Chaplaincy Team was established.

Since 2014, our Chaplaincy Team has evolved to become a vital part of our school; each member aims to become a spiritual role model, offering others guidance, support and assisting in the prayer life of the school in a wide variety of ways.

We have our own Chaplaincy Team Prayer and a job description, which helps us to understand the responsibility we have and how being a role model extends across the school day, not just for Chaplaincy duties.

Children from Year 3 to Year 6 can apply to be in the Chaplaincy Team, with recruitment starting in the summer term. Children complete an application form, explaining why they feel they would be a good candidate for the role. We often are inundated with applications which make it very challenging for our Chaplaincy Team to decide who should be part of the team!

On the links below you can learn more about our current Chaplaincy Team, their roles and responsibilities and how they are supported by the school to fulfil what is asked of them and to develop the faith of their peers, teachers and families.
