Year 4  Home Learning Activities

The link to the National Academy website include the subjects English, Foundation, Maths and PE. Inside each tab there are individual lessons and these have been split into various different topics. Each lesson then tells you what you need, includes a video explaining the task and gives examples of how to do it, and some then provides an activity or worksheet.

The BBC Bitesize website is very similar and also provides individual lessons, but provide a wider range of subjects including Maths, English, Science, Geography, History, Art & Design, Design & Technology, and Computing. These are dated but they do not need to be completed in any particular order. Within these lesson, there are videos which again explain what to do and gives examples, and then some provide interactive activities and other provides worksheets.

The final file is a School Closure Home Learning Resource Pack provided by Twinkl. These include Writing, Reading, Maths, Science and other activities for the children to complete. There are no videos unfortunately, but they re-visit topics that the children have already completed this year and they are all saved as PDF versions that can be opened and used. These can be printed or you can try ‘marking up/writing’ straight onto the PDF on your laptop/tablet (it may be harder on a phone as the screen is smaller).
This is what you need to do:
- On an Apple/Android device - Press the top right icon (or look for ‘mark-up’)
- On a laptop – Save the PDF – Tools - Comment

Have fun and keep learning!

Robin Hood Multi Academy Trust Projects

The dated links are for the Robin Hood Multi Academy Trust website and these provide weekly projects. Included in these are daily tasks in Reading, Spelling, Writing and Maths as well as cross curricular learning projects, wellbeing tasks,  STEM opportunities, Online Safety activities and additional websites. Each link provides the weekly project explaining what to do on each day and there are lots of hyperlinks to different websites to help.
