At The Catholic School of St Gregory the Great we work as part of the diocese of Clifton. Clifton Diocese is the Catholic diocese covering the West of England and includes the City and County of Bristol, the counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset. Our bishop is Bishop Declan and we have been very lucky to welcome him to our school on a number of occasions, such as when he blessed and officially opened our school chapel. This was a very special occasion for us, as you can see in the photographs below!

As a school, we work closely with the diocese. Our staff regularly attend courses organised by the Department for Schools and Colleges and our Chaplaincy Team benefit from regular training events with our Catholic partnership schools.
We visit Clifton Cathedral in Bristol twice a year, for the commissioning of our new Chaplaincy Team members and as part of the Year 6 Leavers Mass in July. Our Chaplaincy Team have twice spoken at the Chaplaincy commissioning to share their good work and expertise with Chaplaincy Teams from across our diocese.
