Listen to readers
We are always ready to welcome new volunteers to the school. If you can spare an hour a week to listen to readers in school please contact us by emailing admin@st-gregorygreat.gloucs.sch.uk and we will get in contact to speak with you about any time you’re able to commit. We take the safety of our children very seriously and so it is likely that you will be asked to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if you come in to help regularly – we will help you with this.
School Trips
We need help for all school trips to ensure they’re able to take place - this includes regular swimming lessons. We would be very grateful if each parent could look at the list of trips when they are released and could consider committing to help on one of them within the year for each of your children. This would make sure the many opportunities that we plan for your children can still go ahead.
Details of how you can offer help are noted on the trips letters.
FOSG Events
Our fundraising events rely on the help of staff and parents – after all, the funds go towards buying additional resources for your children! Please volunteer to help at as many events as you can. It’s also a great way to make new friends and learn more about what happens in the background of school life. Without parent help the Friends of St Gregory’s (FOSG) events are unable to go ahead and will be cancelled. Please do not wait for a final plea for help before offering….it may be too late! Email FOSG@st-gregorygreat.gloucs.sch.uk
Work Experience
The school receives numerous requests for work experience during the school year and acknowledges the benefits that such placements can offer. We would ask that if you would like to do work experience in our school you email admin@st-gregorygreat.gloucs.sch.uk with your request and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please give the school as much notice as possible.
